Karthik and Ashton are heading to the Netherlands for a year. Before we go, come say hello, eat something tasty, make a new friend, enjoy time in the sun (or shade—the park has a lovely tree-covered pavilion!), and wish us well as we prepare for our rails-and-trails adventure.
After eight years of building our life in DC and enjoying all that the DMV has to offer with all of you, we're taking a brief hiatus in the Netherlands—but don't worry, we'll be back in a year! Before we go, we'd love to spend a relaxing evening with our community—the people who make this place home.
It'll be a low-key picnic at our favorite neighborhood park. Blankets, lawn chairs, kids, dogs, all encouraged.
The park sits along the SW Waterfront on M Place SW. Google Maps is a little confused about what it's called—please use the pin below rather than searching "Southwest Waterfront Park," which lands you closer to the Titanic Memorial (which is just a short walk away if you end up there!). The park is a five-minute walk from Waterfront Metro on the green line and there are two Capital Bikeshare stations nearby.
